Plan your San Pedro visit
Arrange the return location and time with Rio before the end of your San Pedro rental. A planned airport, water taxi or hotel handover needs an agreed meeting point. Do not assume that leaving a cart in an unconfirmed location completes the return.
When choosing a return time, allow for the cart handover, collecting bags and your airline or water taxi operator’s check-in requirements. A flight or boat departure time is not the same as the time to return the cart.
If returning near San Pedro Airport, share whether you are departing with Tropic Air or Maya Island Air and confirm the exact handover spot with Rio. Agree how luggage and any onward transfer will be handled rather than assuming airport access or a particular parking place.
For Belize Express or Caribbean Sprinter departures, confirm the relevant terminal with the team. Rio’s office is at Belize Express Terminal Water Taxi, so a different terminal should be discussed explicitly. Keep your reference and a reachable phone handy.
For a hotel return, give the property name and any access instructions. Contact Rio if the accommodation changes. An unattended return or a different location must be agreed directly; a message sent while rushing for departure is not confirmation of that arrangement.
Return with the same fuel level as at pickup. If you need an extension or expect to be late, contact Rio before the agreed time. A change to the period or cart arrangement may require a revised quote and approval.
The office is staffed daily from 8 AM to 9 PM. Confirm any handover outside office hours in advance. Review the accepted rental and handover conditions for the requirements that apply to your reservation.
