Your reservation and payment
The website offers one payment method: Pay at Office / Pay on Pickup. Sending the request does not confirm a reservation. We email the full quote, including required charges, terms and an expiry time. You must review and explicitly accept it through the private link before expiry to confirm. No card details, website deposit or online payment are collected; payment remains unpaid until Rio records an offline payment.
Daily and weekly rates shown publicly are BASE RENTAL only. Each started 24-hour period counts as one rental day, and the lowest daily and weekly base rental combination applies. Required charges are additional and appear in the full quote emailed for your approval. The full quoted amount is fixed until its stated expiry; accepting it confirms your booking at that amount.
Driver and vehicle handover
Rio requires a valid driver’s licence at pickup. Carry your licence while driving. Each passenger needs a seat; do not exceed the cart’s seating capacity. Discuss any additional driver, eligibility, luggage or access requirements directly with Rio before pickup.
Inspect the cart and fuel level with the team, learn the vehicle controls, and confirm your contact and return arrangements. Your signed handover agreement governs vehicle damage, insurance, liability and any operational conditions not specified here.
Pickup, return and fuel
All reservation times are America/Belize local time, UTC−6 year-round. Return to the agreed location at the agreed time with the same fuel level as at pickup. Tell Rio promptly if you will be delayed. An extension requires an agreed price and approval; it does not happen automatically.
Delivery is free. Rio helps with luggage and can drive guests to their destination. Share your flight, water taxi or hotel details, including the hotel name when applicable, and confirm the meeting point and timing with Rio before traveling.
Changes, cancellations and questions
Contact Rio with your reservation reference to request a change or cancellation. A date or cart change may require a new quote and your acceptance. A cancelled reservation is no longer active. An unaccepted request remains a request; it is not a confirmed booking.
No cancellation fee, minimum age, insurance inclusion or damage excess is stated here without a verified business policy. Ask Rio to clarify any such condition and read the handover agreement before accepting the vehicle.
