The main difference is passenger capacity
A four-seat Rio cart accommodates up to four passengers; a six-seat cart accommodates up to six. Count children in the passenger total. Choose the category for the number of people who will ride together, and do not use a luggage area as an extra passenger seat.
The smaller category can suit a couple, friends or a family of up to four. Five or six people need the six-seat category or more than one cart. Both categories can be requested for daily or weekly rental periods and use the same quote-approval process.

Check luggage and access needs separately
An airport or water taxi arrival often means more bags than an everyday outing. Tell Rio your passenger count and bag count before you arrive. Do not assume that a cart with enough seats also has safe space for every suitcase.
Free delivery includes luggage help, and Rio can drive you to your destination. Agree the practical arrangement with the team, particularly for a larger group. If someone has specific access needs, discuss them directly: choosing a seating category online does not promise accessibility equipment.
One larger cart or several carts?
Consider whether everyone will keep the same schedule. A single six-seater keeps up to six people together. More than one cart can be useful when part of the group wants to return to the hotel while others stay out.
Rio’s request form allows both categories in one request. For example, two four-seat carts provide up to eight passenger seats, while one four-seater and one six-seater provide up to ten. Those figures are passenger limits, not luggage estimates. All carts in one request share the entered pickup and return details; contact Rio if different schedules are needed.
Compare the full amount for your stay
Check the current daily and weekly base rates for each category and choose your exact pickup and return times. The form calculates the lowest applicable combination of those published base rates. Each started 24-hour period counts as a rental day.
Required charges apply beyond the displayed base rental. Your full quote appears after the request, including charges and total. Accept it there or through the emailed private link to confirm. No online payment is collected; pay the accepted total at the office or pickup.
Photographs show the carts, not a guaranteed colour
Rio’s website uses its own cart photographs with edited backgrounds. Images help you compare the seating categories, but colours, decorations and individual vehicles are not guaranteed by a category request. Ask the team before booking if a particular feature matters to your group.
